How to have a COVID-secure return to the office
Are you starting to think about your return to the office? Hotel Elephant prioritises the safety of its members by putting in extra measures to make you feel secure and comfortable when working outside the home. Here are a few things to consider to ensure a safe and comfortable return to the office.
Staying Local
Opting for a local workspace is a great way to cut the commute and avoid public transport. Here at Hotel Elephant we are widely accessible from both Central and South London so you can easily cycle or walk to work. Check out the map below to see how we are an easy 15 minute cycle ride from a wide area of Central and South London. At Spare Street, we have bike racks available for you to securely store your bike whilst you work. For those that need it, we are just a couple of minutes walk from the Northern and Bakerloo lines or if you’d prefer to avoid the tube, then we are surround by plenty of bus routes which drop you straight at our door. Ultimately, staying local not only removes the stress and cuts the time of your commute but also reduces the number of people your mixing with on your journey to work, allowing you to feel more at ease going into the office.
Communication
Communication between employers and employees will be vital part of transitioning from working at home and back into the office. Open a dialogue with your employer to discuss what your work space requirements are and what you feel comfortable doing. Consider what you want your working week to look like. Are you looking for a desk space you can access 7 days a week or are you looking to split your time with a few days in the office and continue to work at home a few days a week? Employers need to be open and flexible when in discussion with their teams.
At Hotel Elephant we have put in place all the logistical work to make at COVID secure place of work, plus our team can coordinate directly with your manager or finance department to organise all the invoices and paperwork, so that all your remote workers need to do is turn up to work.
