Hotel Elephant
Hotel Elephant is a not-for-profit workspace provider based in Southwark, with over 15 years of experience delivering workspace, exhibitions, events, and educational spaces in the Elephant and Castle.
Our aims are;
To safeguard long-term space for the arts, culture and creative enterprise in London
To support artists and makers in establishing and maintaining a self-sufficient creative practice
To empower young people to develop their creative skills and inspire the next generation of creative professionals
In 2016, Hotel Elephant launched Spare Street, a dedicated, permanent Creative Enterprise hub in Elephant and Castle.
In the Summer of 2022, Hotel Elephant opened a new site in a former school building, providing high-quality workspaces for artists, makers and creative businesses.
Currently, Hotel Elephant has over 100 members across three sites in Southwark.
Hotel Elephant is a recognised affordable workspace provider, and since our inception in 2009, we have provided over 100,000 sq ft of space across various meanwhile-use buildings around Elephant and Castle. Currently, Hotel Elephant operates across 3 sites in SE17, providing affordable studio spaces, project spaces, office and desk spaces.
