Plus, you will receive 12 hours of creative business support to help you make the most out of this opportunity! Spread over four morning workshops you will receive help to make the most of showing and selling at events, get more sales this Christmas and more social media interest and online sales too!

Hotel Elephant has teamed up with The Design Trust, the online business school for designers and makers, to offer you this package of selling at the Hotel Elephant Christmas show 1st – 3rd December 2017 plus 4 workshops running September – December 2017

The workshops will be hosted by Patricia van den Akker of The Design Trust, who is a well-known creative business adviser and trainer, and you will get a lot of practical advice and tips to sell more this Christmas too. Not just at the show, but also in the run up to Christmas.

the workshops

  • Session 1: Planning for the show (Wednesday 4 October from 10am – 1pm):

The 4 stages of planning: what to do before, after and during a show; thinking about what you show & your display, your marketing and how to plan so you won’t stress out too much.

  • Session 2: Creating & pricing a collection (Wednesday 18 October from 10am – 1pm):

Why creating a collection is better than showing individual products, and learn what makes a good collection. We will also talk about how to cost and price your creative products for the event.

  • Session 3: Marketing & social media to make the most of your event (Wednesday 1 November from 10am – 1pm):

Find out what marketing and social media actions will work to get more visitors to your event, with lots of practical examples. Patricia will share a marketing plan for your event and a social media calendar too.

  • Session 4: What’s next? (Wednesday 6 December from 10am – 1pm):

We have just done the event so we will evaluate how it has been, but also how to turn interest at the show into more sales (before Christmas!) and what else you can do to get online sales before Christmas. We will also set goals and create a plan for 2018.
