LAURA ELIAS
Laura is an artist working across drawing, digital illustration and painting. She love’s storytelling and each drawing makes up part of a larger narrative, exploring the sense of time passing and our enduring connection to the past. Every work is a collage of recurring symbols, silhouettes and figures, often at contradictory scales. She enjoys using bright colours to create a sense of tension and movement across the image.
She is currently working further on a series of drawings for archaeological project ‘Sicily in Transition’ after a residency period of three summer seasons in the town of Castronovo, in Sicily. The illustrations are giclée printed in limited editions of 10.
