🎥 MORE ABOUT DAVID STODDART:
David has just wrapped on the first queer action feature, shot in Georgia USA with New Sparta Films starring Luke Macfarlane and DJ ‘Shangela’ Pierce. Which aims to “upend ideas around what defines an action hero and disrupts a genre which previously had little to no LGBTQ representation.”
David studied at the Arts Institute of Bournemouth. He completed his masters at @nftsfilmtv in 2010 and was selected as one of Screen International’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’.
He was then invited by @channel4 to direct a 30min drama. It starred @russelltovey (Being Human) and opened the series. He was commissioned by @bbc to make a documentary on his sister, @susie_wolff, in her bid to become the first female @f1 driver to race since 1974. The doc went on to win a @royaltelevisionsociety award, and was broadcast on BBC 2 to over 2 million viewers. He continued his work in TV, directing 10 episodes of the popular Channel 4 show @hollyoaksofficial.
David's commercials career began in 2014 with a series of television commercials for Ryanair swiftly followed by the multi-award-winning campaign for ManKind "#ViolenceIsViolence". It gained over 20,000,000 hits combined and picked up Gold, Silver and Bronze British Arrow awards. This year David also won a Silver at the British Arrow Awards and Best Charity Film at the Charity Awards.
