Full time

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (plus occasional evenings/or weekends when required)

Pay: £24,000 - £30,000 PA

What we are looking for:

An energetic, highly organise person to become our new membership manager. The ideal candidate will have previous sales, space operations and tenant management experience, be highly self-motivated and would enjoy taking on the varied responsibilities this role entails. You must have an interest in the arts and creative industries and one-year previous experience in a similar role is desired. As our new membership manager, you will be responsible for looking after our 100 + members across our two sites in SE1 & SE17, be the first port of call for enquiries and be charged with fostering and growing our creative and entrepreneurial community. You will be part of a small but dedicated team, and you will play an important role in Hotel Elephants plans for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales:

- Maintain a 100% occupancy rate across all Hotel Elephant sites, by conducting tours and effectively selling spaces.

- Respond quickly and efficiently to any space and membership enquiries via all digital channels and in person enquiries.

- Ensure any external listing sites are kept up to date with our workspace availability.

- Constantly seek new opportunities to raise the profile of Hotel Elephant’s workspace offer, building waiting lists of potential new members.

- Provide weekly and monthly updates on the community, occupancy and financials.

Tenant & building Management:

- Manage inductions of new members.

- Create and process contracts and invoices relating to new and existing workspace members, drop in members and meeting space hires.

- Ensure all Hotel Elephant spaces are running smoothly, dealing with any issues relating to maintenance, facilities and community effectively and efficiently.

- Keep up to date membership records.

Community Management:

- Be first port of call for enquiries from current members, potential new members and the public.

- Focus on building a sense of community between our own members, creating a supportive environment for people to start and grow their creative business.

- Create, organise and promote events for our community and non-members to engage with.

- Networking on our behalf to build partnerships which benefit our community and enrich our public program.

Marketing and Promotion

- Internal: Promote events and opportunities to current members via members newsletter, updating our website and social media.

- External: Generate interest in our activities, raising our profile within the wider creative community via our mailing list, social channels, website, blog and in person at events.

Key Experience

- A minimum of 1 years’ previous experience in similar role is desired.

- Sales experience – proven track records of successfully driving sales, with a clear understanding on how to nurture potential ‘leads’ and ability to develop strategies to seek out potential new members.

- Previous experience in space and tenant management, dealing with contracts, health and fire safely, knowledge of basic bookkeeping software such as Xero and understanding of the importance to keep up to date membership records.

- Customer service/ front of house experience – as our membership manger you will be the face of our community, you must understand the importance of maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

- Digital marketing experience – previous experience in digital marketing is desirable, you should be familiar with mail chimp or similar software, have experience in creating content for social channels and understand basic principles of SEO.

- You must have an interest and understanding of working within the arts and creative industries.
